our mission

Chief Shepherd Ministries was birthed out of our passion to care for Montana’s most vulnerable children. We will be stepping into full-time foster care in Kalispell, Montana! We seek to live our lives fully surrendered to God’s call and to follow Him as He leads us on this journey.

Hearing the shepherd

We said yes to God’s call to a children’s foster care ministry in 2012. We were chaperones for a youth mission trip to Montana for a summer camp for Native American foster children. We were so excited to see the Lord move in the lives of the youth and children! Little did we know that the Lord was moving in our lives as well-calling us to something more.

Chief Shepherd Ministries

We are called to shepherd Montana’s most vulnerable children, leading them to true sonship with the father.

Trusting the shepherd

We had such a longing to be in Montana, fully committed to the call on our lives but we had our own children at home and needed to be patient. So, we did everything as God instructed and grew in faith and wisdom. We asked God to give us a heart for the now and not the next-for peace in the present and He was faithful! We led ministries, small groups, attended ministry school and sought wise counsel. God has been preparing our hearts for such a time as this!

Following the Shepherd

In September 2018, we became empty-nesters and heard God clearly say, “ it’s time for the next”. Since then, we have sold our home, quit our jobs and officially closed our business in Birmingham!

We have purchased a small home in Kalispell in an awesome neighborhood and school district!

We are seeking to be obedient to God’s call to foster care/adoption first and foremost. But along with that, God as given us BIG DREAMS that we believe will be realized according to His will and in His perfect timing! More details on the BIG DREAMS coming soon!

1 Peter 5:2-4

Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.
